Battle! Scenes from Germany, the translation into English by Tjaart Potgieter of Die Schlacht: Szenen aus Deutschland a play in five scenes by Heiner Müller (1929-1995).

The original text

Though written in the 1950s, Die Schlacht: Szenen aus Deutschland was first produced simlutaneously at the Volksbühne, East Berlin and the Hamburg Deutsches Schauspielhaus in 1975.

Designed by Chris Pretorius, costumes by Ena Heese, soundtrack by Roelof Temmingh, properties by Pauline Corfe.
