Born in Cape Town


Training

He completed a Performers Diploma in Speech and Drama (University of Cape Town Drama Department 1980-1983) and a Directors Course at the British Theatre Association (London 1987).


Career

Roles in ***, Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Pieter Toerien and NAPAC, 1990), Sue Pam-Grant and D.J. Grant’s Take the Floor (the Laager and on national and international tours, 1994, 2002), *, A Writer’s Last Word – A One Man Show (National Arts Festival 1998), District Six – The Musical (Baxter Theatre, 2002), Kanna, hy kô Hystoe (Baxter Theatre, 2003), Jack and the Beanstalk (Johannesburg Civic, 2003, **, Motown Magic (Gold Reef City, 2009).

His directing credits include * Buckingham Palace, District Six (Baxter Theatre, 199*) * Where the Boys Are (On Broadway, Cape Town, 2008), *.

My Word! Redesigning Buckingham Palace at the Baxter Theatre's Masambe venue, December 2013. The one-man, one-hour long theatre production is a celebration of the life and work of legendary writer Richard Rive. (The New Age 11 Dec 2013)

Has been an actor in various international films and made guest appearances on SA TV shows.
