Babes in the Wood. Billed by producer Sefton Parry as "The First Christmas Pantomime in South Africa", though there is some doubt about this. Performed 27 and 28 December 1858 in Parry's Cape Town Theatre, with an additional performance at the request of the Governor.

The adult pantomime Babes in the Wood staged at the Barney Simon Theatre (Market Theatre), 17 November 1998 to January 1999, directed by Charmaine Weir-Smith.
