(1949-) Actor for stage, television and film. Born in Kroonstad, he spent most of his childhood travelling between towns in the Orange Free State region as his father was a school teacher. Matriculated at the Hoërskool Menlo Park in Pretoria and completed his studies in drama at the [[University of Potchefstroom]]. Two years with [[PACT]] Playwork, and later with the main [[PACT]] company in productions of ''[[Three Sisters]]'', ''[[Twaalfde Nag]]'', ''[[Cherry Orchard]]'', and ''[[Charley se Tante]]''. Gardually became well known for his film and TV work, including the films ''Stander'' , and [[Afrikaans]] television drama series such as ''Vyfster'' (1984), ''Egoli'',  ''Dryfsand'' (2007), ''Erfsondes'' (2008).
