The Association of Drama Departments of South Africa was an association of university Drama Departments of South Africa founded at the behest of Robert Mohr in the early 1980s, at a meeting held at the University of Stellenbosch, followed up by one in Durban. Named the Assosiasie van Drama Departemente van Suid-Afrika in Afrikaans, and had the single acronym: ADDSA.

It derived from an earlier, informal, Committee of Heads of University Drama Departments (CHUDD), and the new association was formed to give more representation to all staff, rather than only the heads or chairs of departments.

The association later took in all tertiary institutions of drama, theatre and performance.
