First performed at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on 30 June1854, published in London by Thomas Hailes Lacy.

1860: Performed by the company of Sefton Parry in the Theatre Royal, Cape Town, on 6 February, with The Stranger (Kotzebue/Thompson & Sheridan).
