Arthur Sewell (18*-19*) Lecturer in English at the University of Cape Town (19*-1931?*), author and theatre personality.

Founded a "Garrick Club" in Cape Town in 19*?, directing a number of works*?, among which his best was considered his version of Chekhov's The Seagull (18 August 1931), with which the Little Theatre opened.

Author of The Physiology of Beauty (Kegan Paul, 1931).
