Arthur Mbambo (-2020) was a South African TV actor.


Biography

Arthur started his career in 1982 with no formal training and appeared in numerous TV shows and feature films - most commonly playing priests and policemen.

Besides acting, he was also a pastor and author.

Mbambo died in a Johannesburg hospital on ** after a long illness.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Arthur started his career in the 1980s and went on to feature in several TV and films, his TV roles including "Frank Tshabalala" in Tshisa, "Mnyamane Buthelezi" in Muvhango and roles in Mzansi, Soul Buddyz and other productions. General Khotso

Films include Quiet Thunder (Video, 1988), Wild Zone (1989), The Schoolmaster (1990) and Max and Mona (2004).
