Annie Baldwin was a British actress who performed in South Africa

Biography

She worked at the Adelphi Theatre, London in the early 1880s

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She visited Cape Town in April and May of 1887 under the management of the Wheeler Brothers, inter alia playing the lead in Peril (Sardou/"Saville Rowe"). In 1895 she visited the country with the Annie Baldwin Company to perform plays such as Charley's Aunt (Thomas) and A Woman of No Importance (Wilde).
