CURTEIS, Anne. (19*-) Actress. Born Anne McMenamin ***

Biography

Anne was trained in Johannesburg in the early 1950s and worked with such famous theatre personalities as Leon Gluckman, Cecil Williams, Taubie Kushlick and Margaret Inglis. After her marriage and raising a fmily she returned to the theatre in Karoo Grand.

Career

Worked for Pieter Toerien, PACT and CAPAB.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Appeared under her maiden name in Graham Greene’s The Living Room (Library Theatre, 1955).


She played Kay in If This Be Treason filmed for television, 1998.


Awards, etc

She was nominated for Vita and Fleur du Cap awards.
