Performance history in South Africa

1862: Performed as An Object of Interest by Clara Tellett and her company in the Theatre Royal, Cape Town, on 18 August, with a performance of the song "The Carpenter" by "an amateur" and The Youthful Queen, or Christine of Sweden (Shannon).

1868: Performed by Le Roy and Duret in the Commercial Exchange, Cape Town, on 28 February with Somebody Else (Planché) and a "Musical Melange", as a "Grand Treat of Country Visitors to Agricultural Show".

1868: The plays possibly repeated by Le Roy and Duret in the Commercial Exchange, Cape Town, on 2 March, as a part of a range of attractions on offer for the "Agricultural Show".
