An Arabian Night is a play devised by Janice Honeyman and cast.

A hugely popular local adaptation for the stage, adapted from Richard Burton's translation of the Thousand and One Arabian Nights, improvised and workshopped by the cast.

Performance history in South Africa

1980: First presented by The Company, staged at Upstairs at the Market and the Market Theatre Main Hall in 1980, directed by Janice Honeyman and featuring Vanessa Cooke, Nicholas Ellenbogen.

1981: Performed at the Baxter Theatre in 1981, directed by Janice Honeyman and featuring Frantz Dobrowsky, Vanessa Cooke, Adrienne Pearce, Robert Whitehead, David Eppel, Lesley Nott. Lighting by Mannie Manim.
