Alwyn Swart (194*-). Actor, stage and film director and children’s theatre and TIE specialist.

Career

He joined PACT Playwork under Robin Malan and took over as head in 1978. In his time he devised and directed many socially pertinent programs based on Afrikaans literature and extended TIE to nursery schools. Later became a TV producer and director, though still doing occasional acting as well. He was an assistant director of Pact Drama in 1984.

He directed Ons Wag op die Kaptein (PACT 1982, a PACT production of DDie Hertekoning and Galgstories and Other Noose Tales (1990).
