He wrote the play The Pump Room and the satirical play Comrade Babble (2002).

Awards, etc

He was one of five writers shortlisted for the annual Caine Prize for African writers (instituted in 1999 in memory of Sir Maichael Caine, who helped to establish the Booker Prize) in 2002 for his novel Courageous and Steadfast.
