Founded in August 1926 by three young lawyers, [[H.A. Fagan]], [[Wessel Roux]] and [[A.H. Broeksma]], in the Afrikaanse Koffiehuis. They performed in the Koffiehuis, as well as the [[Railway Institute]] and other venues over the years. Its first play was De Waal's ''[[Die Spioen en sy Handlanger]]'' ("The Spy and his Associates") in 1927, which they also did in the [[Eendracht-saal]] ("Unity Hall") in Salt River and in Porterville. Fagan's play ''[[Lenie]]'' was also created in this time and produced by them in the Railway Institute with [[Queenie Fagan]] and [[Wessel Roux]] in the leads.
