AFRICAN THEATRE WORKSHOP, Johannesburg/Sophiatown??.

A group of amateur black performers who worked in collaborative fashion. They worked in space let to them by Union Artists and Athol Fugard collaborated with them in his early career as a playwright in the 1950s. Other members included Lewis Nkosi, Bloke Modisane, Nat Nasaka, Zakes Mokae, Dan Poho, Stephen Moloi, Ken Gampu, Cornelius Mabaso, Gladys Sibisa and Sheila Fugard. ***
