Affairs of State is a 1950 Broadway comedy written by French playwright, screenwriter, and actor Louis Verneuil[1] (1893-1952).

Brian Brooke Company production at the Hofmeyr Theatre, Cape Town in May 1956 with Diane Wilson in the lead as Irene.

The Reps staged a production of this play in April 1959, which enjoyed an extended run. Directed by Hugh Goldie. Cast included Jack Bligh; Arthur Hall; Valerie Philip; John Hayter; Marilyn Patterson; Simon Swindell. Decor by Roy Cooke.
