Accent on Youth

Accent on Youth is a play written by American playwright Samson Raphaelson [1] (1894-1983).

The play debuted on Christmas Day, 1934. The plot concerns a lazy, middle-aged playwright who is spurred to write by his new young secretary.

Performance history in South Africa

In 1941 George Vollaire produced Accent on Youth with the Pretoria Repertory Players.

Produced by the Brian Brooke Company at the Hofmeyr Hall, Cape Town, starring Cynthia Kettle and Leo Britt, 1948.
