Abdullah is a comic opera by Oscar Weil (1839/40?-1921)[1].

The original text

No such text can be found to date, but it may conceivably have been a pirated/adapted version of The Seraglio, a comic opera in two acts by Charles Dibdin (1745-1814)[], which features a character called "Abdallah".

Performance history in South Africa

1885: Billed as "an extravaganza" it was performed at the Theatre Royal, Cape Town , produced by Mr H.C. Sidney and partner Mr H.J. Fiedler during the course of the year.
