The Afrikaans word Aardklop means something like "Pulse of the Earth", and was used as the name for a national Afrikaans arts festival held in Potchefstroom, Northwestern Province (formerly Transvaal) during late September, beginning October every year.

The first took place in 1997??** (See also in Part Three, Section 3.)
