A Place of Safety is a one-act play by Peter du Preez. Two scenes of the play were published in Vol.1, no. 3 of The Classic (1964). An interesting take on the changed values and developments occuring as the result of a nuclear holocaust. (See Gosher, 1988).

The Rhodes University Players production in 1963 was directed by Athol Fugard.
