A Place of Safety is a one-act play by Peter du Preez (fl. 1960s).

The original text

An interesting take on the changed values and developments occuring as the result of a nuclear holocaust.

The play is one of a series that have come into existence through the activities of a small group of Rhodes University staff and students, the others in the series including The Third Degree (McClennan), H.E.L.P., The Great Wall of China and Focus (Oosthuysen).

First performed in 1963. Two scenes of the play were published in Vol.1, no. 3 of The Classic (1964).
