A Broken Chain, a play in a prologue and three acts by Alfred Holtzer. Presented at the Railway Institute in Cape Town by the Owl Club in November 1919, directed by Ralph Kimpton. The cast included the author, as well as Wellesley Bremner, E.C. Dudley, Jack F. Nosworthy, E.T.A. Crisp, G.D. Adendorff, Bessie Nosworthy, Nina Walker, Ivy Christensen and Marion Norman. Stage manager Ledlie Osborne (Leslie Osborne?), business manager H.J. Laite.
