45° is a musical play by Hennie van Greunen ().

The original text

Developed as a community project to be staged at the KKNK in 2003, the development of the play was sponsored by a local Oudsthoorn farmer with the proviso that they had to promote and tell stories about the ostrich industry. Under the leadership of Hennie van Greunen general auditions were held in Oudsthoorn's so-called "Coloured" community and a group of eleven amateur actors/singers were selected. Van Greunen created the play based on legends and stories told him by local storytellers like David Piedt, Poem Mooney, Johan van Greunen and others.
