1949 is a play by Ronnie Govender, based on some of the stories in his collection Cato Manor - the Stories. Peformed at the National Arts Festival, 1996, directed by the author and featuring Charles Pillai.

Performed in the Sanlam Studio at the Baxter Theatre 8-27 July 2002 directed by the author starring Jayloshini Naidoo.
