£5 Reward is a farce in one act by John Oxenford (1812–1877)[1]

The original text

First performed - as £5 Reward - on 3 December, 1855, at the Royal Olympic Theatre, London, and published by Thomas Hailes Lacy (Lacy's Acting edition, vol. 24, no. 358) probably in the same year.

Performance history in South Africa

1860: Performed as £5 Reward by Charles Fraser in the Cabinet Theatre, Cape Town, on 17 January, along with A Hopeless Passion (Morton).
