A play about a mother who idealizes the memories of her son, it was originally written by Jonker in the 1950s, and was to be her only play. It was substantially rewritten when Jonker lived in Johannesburg and was published in the collections Voort met die Spel (comp. Jan B. Vermaak) by Human & Rousseau and in Iewers Langs die Pad (comp. G.J. Beukes) by Van Schaik.
