The original text
A musical play about the lives, relationships, problems and pleasures of various cultural entities living in Cape Town (Muslim, Jewish, English, Afrikaans, Xhosa, etc.) set in the period of political turmoil and change. The cultural aspects is displayed in song and dance as well as language and dialogue.
Described in the subtitle as "(A)n historical story-theatre piece, a docu-drama, a fact and fiction of conflict and human understanding", the play involves 8 performers doing multiple roles each.
The typed text found in the Stellenbosch Drama Department archives is referred to in the preface notes as "purely a first draft" - the author suggesting further developments in the second draft.
