Volenté Bertotti (b. 1945) was a film and occasional stage actress

Biography

Volenté Ronita Carstens (?) was born on 27 March 1945. In February 1971 she married Joseph Bertotti and used her married name when, a few years later, she embarked on her acting career. Though she made a few stage appearances, she became known through her films and because her good looks ensured frequent coverage in the newspapers. In addition she was a DJ on Radio 5, made her first appearance on television in a programme called Teen Time in what was then Rhodesia and according to the internet is best remembered for her character of Sister Louise in the photo story of that name. She and Bertotti were divorced in 1977, but she retained the surname for her career, even after she married Luigi Dellocca in July 1980. The couple had two children and after he died she switched professions and from about 1992 was an estate agent in Cape Town, using the name of Volenté Ronita Dellocca.
