Mix Masala is a play in nine sketches co-written by Peter Braaf and Ivan Sylvester about changes in society and changes in minds and hearts in order to deal with a new political dispensation. Cultural differences are explored and religious and cultural tolerance is encouraged.

Performance history in South Africa

Presented by the Cape Flats Players and the Baxter Theatre in the Baxter Studio from 15 August to 1 September 1990 directed by Peter Braaf starring Sandra Braaf, Jacques Kleyn, Rista Banagani, Wonga Tai-Tai, Joey Erasmus and others. This production was also seen on the Fringe at the National Arts Festival, 1990.
