Ek het ‘n man vermoor (Lit. “I murdered a man”) by Maurice Rostand [1] (1891-1968). It was an anti-war play dealing with the journey of a young man who kills an enemy only to go look up his parents and widow and become close to them. Originally written in French as L'homme que j'ai tué, 1925, it was translated Dutch as Ik Heb Een Mensch Gedood and then into Afrikaans by F.C.L. Bosman.
Produced by André Huguenet in 1935 under the auspices of African Theatres,????**** Featuring Lydia Lindeque, Siegfried Mynhardt, Ena du Toit.
