A. Fraser
Ensign A. Fraser Esq. was an officer in the North Lincolnshire Regiment of Foot which was sent to the Eastern Frontier of the Cape Colony (now the Eastern Province, South Africa) between 1860 and 1862 shortly after the Xhosa cattle-killing movement and famine (1857-1858). The regiment was first based in Grahamstown and then moved to Keiskama Hoek. (Modern spelling: Keiskammahoek.) On April 26, 1860, he left Grahamstown for Fort Jackson, arriving there on May 5.
Ensign A. Fraser acted in three productions during his three-year stay on the Eastern Frontier.
Ensign A. Fraser was a member of the Dramatic Club, in the section known as the Officers of the Regiment.
