She is married to Nicholas Ellenbogen and their son is Luke Ellenbogen.

She began her career in the 1970s in Cape Town where she was a company member for CAPAB.

After a 12-year absence she reappeared on stage in 1989.

She is a founder member of Theatre for Africa

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Julius Caesar (with CAPAB), The Playboy of the Western World (with CAPAB 1976) and in Blithe Spirit (with CAPAB 1976). Present Laughter (1989), Goodbye, Mr Chips (1994-5), The Captain, the Corporal and the Courtesan (2002).

Awards, etc

She has won awards for her performance in plays such as Kloof Eagle.

Nomination Best Supporting Actress M-Net Awards 1993.
