A performer for the Dalle Case Company. Referred to as "die kleine Hamoy" ("the tiny Hamoy") by F.C.L. Bosman (1928[1], pp. 436-7), he was most probably a pantomime and circus performer who had come to the Cape with the Italian Circus of Messrs Severo and Dalle Case.
He is specifically mentioned as one of the acts in a full programme, headed by "the much admired vaudeville The Art of Avoiding to do Military Duty", performed in the Garrison Theatre, Cape Town on 13 March 1848 by the Dalle Case Company. No specifics of his act are given however.
