Performance history in South Africa

1853: Performed as Rozella en Guido, of Het Regt der Natuur by Door Yver Bloeit de Kunst in the Bree Street Theatre, Cape Town on 28 April ( repeated on 3 May). The afterpiece was De Lotery Prys, of No. 2,5,3,8. (Hoare). The company claims - wrongly in the case of "De Lotery Prys" - that "Beide Stukken zullen voor de eerste maal op het Kaapsch Tooneel vertoond worden" (i.e. "the two works are seen on the Cape stage for the first time").
