(18**-18**) Dancer, dance master and performer.

Named by Treble Violl (cit Bosman, 1928: p. 439) as the leading dance master in Cape Town in the 1840s, and he is listed as a performer in a number of performances by the Dalle Case French company in 1848.

Among his appearances as performer are:

14 February: a "grand musical interlude" featuring a "farcical ballet" called De Gelukkige Man, of De Ontmoeting in het Donker

24 February: a performance of two plays, interspersed with various dance numbers (the plays are a vaudeville entitled The Respources of Jonatha, or The Two Masters and one Valet and Running Mad Through Love

13 March: A full programme consisting of The Art of Avoiding to do Military Duty with a "Grand Interlude of Music and Dancing", a classic tableau, the laughable Comic Ballet A Visit to the Military Prison... and "An English dance!!".
