Performance history in South Africa

Stal Plein Hotel that Prof William H. Bell produced his first plays, an activity which would lead to the founding of the Department of Speech and Drama in 19**. The first such a production was Everyman in 19**, directed by Bell. (pre-1931).

Produced for the Rhodes University Players by Guy Butler, in collaboration with the Rhodes University Chamber Choir, directed by Georg Gruber, September 1963. (NELM AN: MANU-36130).
