(“Teacher’s Training College Boland Theatre Company”)

The Wellington Onderwyskollege Toneelgeselskap ("Wellington Teacher’s Training College Theatre Company”) changed its name to the Onderwyskollege Boland Toneelgeselskap (OBT) when the college amalgamated with the teachers training colleges of Oudtshoorn, Paarl, Wellington and Athlone.

Kaapse Technikon Wellington Kampus Toneelgeselskap

In 2001 the Boland Onderwyskollege became part of the Cape Technikon, and the name of the Onderwyskollege Boland Toneelgeselskap changed again, to become the Kaapse Technikon Wellington Kampus Toneelgeselskap (“Cape Technikon Wellington Campus Theatre Company). It continued its work to serve as an adjunct to the training of teachers going into schools and having to do school plays and performances, but also focussing on those who need to teach “Arts and Culture” under the new (2005) schools curriculum.
