Never Too Late by Sumner Arthur Long?*. A popular Broadway musical comedy, which opened in New York in 196 and ran to 1965. Brought to the Johannesburg Civic in 1946/1964/1966?* by Hymie Udwin’s Theatre International. Elaine Perry directed with American actors Nancy Coleman, Roland Winters, Helen Lewis and James Kirkwood.


Stage set designs: two watercolour sketches, one incompletely painted, of sets for Never too late, a production at the Civic Theatre, Johannesburg, in 1964, with an inscription addressed to Farmer by James Kirkwood on one of them (NELM [Collection: FARMER, Anthony]: 2007. 18. 3. 23).
