A musical with music by Noel Gay and its original book and lyrics by Douglas Furber and L. Arthur Rose.

The original opened in the West End in 1937, was turned into a film in 1939 (entitled The Lambeth Walk), and was revived on the West End briefly in 1952.

The musical's book was revised by Stephen Fry with Mike Ockrent and opened in the West End in 1985 and Broadway in 1986, winning numerous awards in England and the USA.
