(1937-1997) Academic, copy writer, publisher and playwright. *** His famous and award-winning radio drama on the advertising industry and the Afrikaans language, Pendoring (Edms) Beperk (197*?), soon became a very popular stage play as well. It was followed by two sequels, Pendoring & Kie (“Spike Thorn & Co”) and Pendoring & Seun (“Spike Thorn & Son” - 1995), as well as a play for Kampustoneel called Die Engel en die Potlooddief (“The Angel and the Pencil Thief” – 198*). Other plays include Die Aand van die Fynproewer.
