First published in Leipzig 1806. Turned into an opera with composer Philipp Jakob Riotte and performed in 1808.

Translated into Dutch as De Brandschatting by Jan Steven Van Esveldt-Holtrop, and published by him in 1805.


1827: Produced in Dutch by the amateur company Tot Nut en Vermaak on 21 April with De Kwade Luim (Von Kotzebue).
