A terminally ill 90-year old woman leaves the hospital to go and stay in her little house in the Blue Ridge mountains in Virginia to await death. She is being taken care of by a young hospice volunteer.

Performance history
First presented at The Shenandoah Valley Playwrights Retreat under the title Apple Dreams and later went on to a successful Off-Broadway run starring Estelle Parsons and Lucie Arnez at the Laura Pels Theatre in 1996. The play was later filmed for television by Hallmark Hall of Fame and starred Gena Rowlands and Diane Lane.
Performance history in South Africa
Staged in the Studio at the Baxter Theatre in April 1998, directed by Jacqui Singer, with Diane Wilson (as Grace Stiles) and Claire Berlein (as Gloria "Glorie" Whitmore).
