Was editor of Bookchat magazine. Was appointed Liaison Officer for South Africa with IBBY, the world body on children's literature.

Played Gonzalo in The Tempest. Appeared as Richard Noakes in the Vita Award-winning revival of Arcadia. Had a role in The Winter's Tale, Maynardville 1997.
