Born in Zimbabwe, grew up in Port Elizabeth.

Studied drama at the University of Cape Town, 1983.
Career
He joined CAPAB Drama's permanent company in January 1984.

He appearedThe Taming of the Shrew, Betrayal, Falstaff, Re:Vamp for CAPAB and in London Assurance for NAPAC. He co-wrote and directed the musical Re:Vamp.

Winner of the Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Most Promising Student in 1983.
