Born Marviantoz Alejandro Baker in Steinkopf, Namaqualand, where he matriculated at Steinkopf High School.
Studied at the University of Stellenbosch, receiving a B.Dram. degree. His prifile on his agent's website also claims that he studied Puppetry at West Virginia University.
Professional productions include The Sound of Music (Wellington Production House, 20**) Bos (at the Stellenbosch Woordfees, 2013), a variety of productions by Niël Rademan, and The Shadow of the Hummingbird (Fugard Theatre, 2014)
