Founded as Gallophone Records in 19** by the *** and *** Gallo, this South African recording company (later known simply as Gallo Records) produced much of the local music, and supported many individuals.

The Gallo Award
Part of the DALRO Awards (1972-2003/4) Awarded for the best performance in a musical or revue, either in English or Afrikaans in Johannesburg and Pretoria. Sponsored by Gallo Records.
