The Feela Sistah! Spoken Word Initiative is a community organisation formed in March of 2003 by Myesha Jenkins, Napo Masheane, Lebogang Mashile and Ntsiki Mazwai to give a voice to positive black women. In 2004 they created and presented This is Not An Intellectual Experience, a musical and verbal journey through the lives of four unique women. The Sistahs have diverse public appeal, and their success in crossing genres is evident in radio interviews and performances on Kaya, Metro, SAFM and YFM and television appearances on Morning Live, Morning Edition, Take Five and One. They appear weekly on the Metro FM All Access Breakfast show and host monthly poetry sessions at Kilimanjaro and Megamusic.
