A weekend festival begun by Santa van Bart and other members of the Bosman Literary Society in Groot Marico in 1995.

It has appeared under a range of names over the years, including the Biekie Bosman Weekend, Biekie Bosman Festival, and the Bietjie Bosman Festival.

The event occurs twice a year, March/April and October, when fans of the Herman Charles Bosman , the creator of Oom Schalk Lourens, gather in Groot Marico for a weekend to celebrate the writer's life and wit.

Besides discussions of Bosman's work and legacy, various artists perform excerpts from Bosman's work at the festival.

The April weekend is something of a local event, during which the local Bosman Literary Society members are not outnumbered by visitors, while the grand event is in October, when hundreds of Bosman fans come to pay their respects.
