A group of five black mineworkers debate the issues of racism, intolerance and xenophobia, while doing back-breaking underground work and performing energetic dance routines, about a newly democratic South Africa, a place “Where men have to compete for women, jobs and their next meal, scapegoats will be found and you best not have a strange accent, a slightly darker skin or hopes for a new life in a foreign country” (Hollands, 2002).
